I learnt a little bit of guitar at school, and know the basics, but am re-teaching myself. I was wondering if anyone could tell me wether or not the Ashton SPCG34 3/4 size classical guitar would be a suitable guitar for a beginner like me to learn to play on?

Thanks!

I also recommend a full size instrument; the smaller sizes are meant for children to accomodate them as they grow (just like fractional violins that are fitted to children). The reason the classical guitar's neck is wider is to accomodate the proper characteristic positions of both the right and left hand. You may want to borrow or rent a classical guitar and find a competent classical guitar teacher to give you a few lessons to find out if this is really what you want before going out and buying one. God luck.

I say just go to the Guitar Center and look around in the classical section. There are a couple of ibanez's you might want to consider.... or if you're planning on going farther with it, get a cordoba.
