I had a miscarriage on the 27th of January. The bleeding lasted about 6 days(I stopped bleeding onThursday morning). Yesterday and today I have noticed brown spotting(only on the toliet paper).. no blood, could this mean I'm getting ready to ovulate again? I have heard that you can start ovulating about 2 weeks after miscarriage, and the timing sounds right.
This was my first pregnancy after 10 years of ttc, so I have no idea what is going on?
Also, on the subject of miscarriage.. did anyone still have occasional twinging pain in the cervix a few days after the m/c was over?
Serious answers please, I don't need to hear anything nasty.

I had an ultrasound on Thursday and the doctor told me that "no residual product" was left(I hate that term..). he said that everything was clean.
I don't know if that helps, I have heard that 6 weeks is the magic number.. most women who have a m/c get pregnant 6 weeks later.

Really sorry to hear of your loss, I feel your pain, it is a difficult thing to deal with, specially after trying for so long. You didn't mention how far along you were, and I am not a nurse or Doctor. I would say that you are probably still just having your body clean itself. I think it is suggested that you wait a bit for your body to rest, but I do understand the desire to get back into things as soon as you can.
I assume that, if you have been TTC for all these years that you do chart, etc. Do you have 'egg-white' mucus. You need to look at all the signs to get an idea. If you are showing the other signs, you may want to grab an ovulation prediction kit and see what it says. You may want to get back to charting, or try to take a bit of a break for a month or so. I know, it is so difficult to know just what is the best move. I tried for 15 years, lots of early miscarriages, I just learned to move on as if they hadn't happened and it was just another cycle, well in the physical sense anyhow.
I know this won't help with the physical end of things, but you may want to read an article I wrote on Dealing with loss due to Infertility at http://diju.tripod.com/loss.html . I hope that this helps, feel free to contact me at the link below. You and your doctor know your body best, is it possible, yes, is it probably, I doubt it....
As for the twinges, your uterus is readjusting. Pretty normal stuff.

First, let me tell you how sorry I am about the miscarriage. I had one on the 27th of December, so I can empathise.
Secondly, I *think* you can ovulate pretty quickly after a miscarriage, but to me, it sounds more like your uterus is still flushing itself out.
Let your body recover before trying to conceive again; pregnancy is rough on a woman's body, you don't want to wear yourself out by conceiving so soon after a miscarriage.
I've had two miscarriages and I had some odd twinges in the cervical area for a few days after both. If anything is worrying you, do not hesitate to call your doctor.

Ok, so I've never had a miscarriage or been pregnant. But I am pretty sure that the brown spotting is probably just some old blood from the miscarriage. Spotting is no indication of getting ready to ovulate as far as I know...
I can't really answer the rest of your questions, so I'll just say my bet is the spotting has virtually nothing to do with when you will ovulate...
Best of luck to you!

Good luck and best wishes.
But, you should see your doctor again before you start TTC.
I think the brown spotting you are noticing, is "old blood" still in your system.
My doctor said to wait for 6 weeks after a pregnancy (whether completed or not) before trying to conceive again.
Your body needs time to get back to normal, naturally.

When you can't get pregnant, and things look good from the outside, it can be extremely frustrating.
The first thing to consider is how long have you been trying. About 80% of couples will get pregnant after six months of trying, and about 90% will be pregnant after 12 months of trying to get pregnant. Anyway this is a great methid to get pregnant fast https://tr.im/f87e9
