No. Movies made recently are stupid, intellectual wise. The whole purpose of watching them is to entertain the audience. Movies made in the past were meant to illustrate some kind of point about life. You are probably smarter than your friends because you watch movies to learn something from them. Just look at any remake: It's pure entertainment.

No don't stop watching them. Good for you watching old movies and musicals. There are some really great classicals out there. I grew up watching a lot of them. And good for you being your own person. Doesn't matter what your friends do or don't do, you're doing what you want to do and that's important. Don't let anyone tell you it's stupid, silly, or whatever. I rather watch the old movies than the news ones out today at least most of the old movies had story lines and weren't filled with gore, language and sex. Just keep being yourself.

i will only talk for the overdue 40's and 50's. females have been extremely extra modest .... in outfits, attitude and behaviour. immediately's swimsuits could have been too skimpy even for undies. adult males ... the right courting outfits for dinner and a action picture replaced right into a wholesome, tie and nicely polished shoes. He constantly got here to the door to get you, held your coat for you and then opened the vehicle door. in spite of the undeniable fact that, then as now, if a woman acts like a wh.... she would be able to be taken care of like a wh.... If she acts like a woman, she would be able to be taken care of as a woman. some issues by no skill replace.

I'm 40 yrs. old and I grew up watching these movies you are talking about. I watch that channel every now & then. They have great movies. There is nothing wrong with a 15 yr. old watching these movies. They don't make movies like that any more. These movies are part of my childhood memories. Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis movies are one of my favorites to watch. So keep watching honey. There is nothing wrong with it and don't be ashamed either.

Don't get caught up in stereotypes by worrying what's "normal" for a 15 year old African American teen. If you like watching them, then do it.

Hooray for you! Don't ever doubt yourself about anything the "feels right." You sound very mature and intelligent and are obviously "ahead of your time", in some very positive ways. Bravo!
