Nothing comes in or goes out of my network that I don't know about. Everyday I get several email reports from my kids computers that tell me everything from MySpace to IM (both sides of the conversation). Want to listen to a phone call my daughter had with her boyfriend last week? No problem. I'll podcast it and screen it on the way to work.
My point is two fold. First always assume your parents know more than you think they do. Second... THANK YOU. I own stock in NewsCorp (the company that owns MySpace). Everytime they make a couple of bucks dropping spyware on your hard drive it drops to my bottom line and I get a little closer to retirement. PLEASE, Please, please invite every one of your think-a-like friends into the social network. It is SO much easier making money off of the homogenous ignorance of youth than it is trying to leverage it from your parents.
BTW... I also own stock in Yahoo. Thanks for doing your part!

Yes to both. I helped them set up their myspace accounts, so they definitely know I have one.

A) Used to. I (MYSELF) deleted it. Its addicting for most people (especially teens), and takes up all the useful time in life. (For those that are on it for hours)
B) My parents did know.
