What are you doing out of the house without a man anyway?
Sorry - only joking. It may be the case that that the engine fuel injection system (or air bag system these days) incorperates a accelerometer to detect impacts. It may be that it will automatically trigger the unlocking of the doors (as well as turning off the fuel and deploying air bags etc). Ask your dealer, but then again they are usually clueless any way and you'd be better asking ronald mc donald.
There is only one mini - yours is a german imposter. Trust me I know.

I Think You SHOULD Lock Them...If That's What Makes You Feel Safe. & If You DO Get Into An Accident, All You Have To Do Is Kick The Window Open. Lol

Lock the doors.
If you are in an accident and can't open the door, just kick the window out.
If you're in a mangled accident, fire crew will have special equipment to cut you out. They're not going to say "oh dear, she's locked the door. We'll have to leave her in there"

You should definitely lock your doors. Just keep something in your car like a hammer in case you need to get out and can't open the door.

Lock your doors. We can always break a window to get you out in an emergency.

Don't lock. Just do it when you're driving somewhere where you really feel the need to do it (city centre late at night, that kind of thing) otherwise try not to just in case.

Most doorknobs in houses that lock don't have a place for a key on the outside of the room, but they do have a hole in the middle of the knob. stick a piece of coathanger wire in the hole and push till you hear a click. the door should open
