I have to chose 5 important people to take with me. It can be anyone except a religious leader or founder, and it can not be anyone dead. Do you know any important scientists, doctors, or architects still alive??? Im good at history but no nothing about many important people of today. please help???????

You are limited to only important people, that’s interesting. I think it would be more relevant to focus on individuals who could contribute to your project due to their expertise in various disciplines.

In this context I would focus on which disciplines are most valuable and in that focusing, I would be most desirous of finding successful practitioners, that is, engineers as opposed to theorists.

First there is the issue of sustenance for without this nothing else will be needed. Of course you have limited this in terms of options stating that there would be no animals. Of course, you haven’t defined what you mean by the term, animal. A basic definition is as follows:

Any member of the kingdom Animalia, comprising multicellular organisms that have a well-defined shape and usually limited growth, can move voluntarily, actively acquire food and digest it internally, and have sensory and nervous systems that allow them to respond rapidly to stimuli: some classification schemes also include protozoa and certain other single-celled eukaryotes that have motility and animal like nutritional modes.

This leaves us only with plants, in other words a vegetarian world. Leaving a side that this is not a healthy diet for most Homo Sapiens Sapiens (an Animal) and the unstated need that this new world must have enough eatable plants from which a healthy diet can be developed and they must be plants which are reliably available year around, and since travel will likely become a need such vegetarian foods must also be storable have long shelf life, this expert will likely have two disciplines. A practicing chemist as well as an experienced horticulturist.

There is also the need of a structural engineer. Someone who can understand natural resources and how to harvest them and alter them for use. In our world we use wood from trees with different woods having different properties and uses. Would the new world have trees or tree like plants? Would the geological makeup be the same or would there be different rocks and soil? How can it be used and how can all of these things be acquired.

Blacksmith and metallurgist in other words a tool maker. It is assumed that there will be natural resources from which metal can be made and that there will be natural resources from which heat can be generated to (among other things such as food preparation) make metal.

There must also be someone who represents the medical field. Not just a doctor but someone who can work with natural remedies. Someone who understands how to test natural substances so that they can be used to make medical supplies. For example, can a mold be found or generated to make penicillin?

How do you move from one place to another. More significantly, there must be someone who knows how to move “things” from one place to another. How do you make and use a lever. Can block and tackle be constructed and can rope be made? If so, lots of things can be moved, if not, it will get a lot tougher.

A lot has been unstated except that you will be a survivor and from that I suspect that all needs will have to be found and developed in the new world. Further it is suspected that there will only be you and these five other individuals. Clearly there will have to be a mix of the sexes.

I would forget about important people and simply go for experts in various fields.

One other thing that must be kept in mind, any new world will have a monster. After looking for one you will find that the monster will be one of the six of you.

I.M. Pei is still alive, and is a noted architect.
If you look at the end of the article on sustainable agriculture, you'll find a whole list of links to different projects done by different universities. That should help you.
