You need to be very careful asking for friends like that. I know you don't want to hear that, but you have no idea what kind of people are out there. I have heard about it, but saw one of them for myself yesterday.
You should try Yahoo Groups. You can get to know people before becoming friends with them.

I think it's a great idea to make friends through the internet.Why not?It's one of the few times in life people are actually judged on what they have to say and not on looks or other trivial things.Good luck to you Ruth and never mind ignorant children on here
