Maybe we just need some serious laws that prevent the mixing of religion and government.

Nope, not worried at all. I am what I am and I would become a martyr before I would change. Besides there is a Muslim meeting house down the street from where I live. They leave us alone and we leave them alone. The only problem I have is that they jaywalk to their worship in the evening. Their building is close to the corner and idiot drivers who do not know they jaywalk may whip around the corner and hit someone.
You know, of course the Christian Europeans forced many Native Americans to convert to Christianity or die. Some chose death over conversion. The same happened in Africa and other parts of the world. When the natives had the power they repelled the religious zealots and their attempts to convert the non believers or infidels.
As long as we have freedom of religion and separation of church and state you will not be forced to be anything you don't want to be.

In this country, people are free to follow any religion they like. It's the first amendment.
Your main concern should be the antagonism between Christianity and Islam on a global scale. Here's a hypothetical: What if China becomes predominately Islam. Does that lead to another global conflict?
I would like to see a world where religion is a non-factor. Where people can coexist, and let others believe what they want, or to not believe at all.

It's not conversion to any religion that upsets me as much as what people do with their religious beliefs. Who is America (primarily Christian, as I am) when it comes to being a good rolemodel for peace, love, and chastity. I have friends who say they are religious but display more hate than "the evil doers" ever could. But, I have other friends who label themselves as Christians who truely are dedictated to helping others and trying to make the better world a place to live. America (as a whole) has no reason judging anyone else who choses to follow another type of religion when most American's don't even follow the doctrines of their own bible. Saying one is a Christian or Muslim does not mean it is so. Charles Manson said he was a decendent of God and we saw what acts he committed.

First off, on a strictly legal level, you aren't accurate about the U.S. It isn't "predominantly Christian" because our Bill of Rights doesn't allow our government (more specifically our Congress) to have laws favoring any *one* "establishment of religion" over another. So if any religion is "predominant" in the U.S., it isn't because of anything political or legal, it is simply an accident courtesy of our having a *predominantly Western European culture*. And I'd like to think the Founding Fathers did that *on purpose* after having lived their lives dealing with people who didn't *want* to be persecuted over "not following the church of england", among other things.
Second thing is....don't believe the hype about Islam, ok? A lot of the rise in numbers in that faith in the U.S. are courtesy of people joining either from *prison settings* or from *ghetto settings*. Basically, they are joining the most anal-retentive control-freakish religion on earth because their own lives are *so* utterly taken out of their control. It has less to do with Islam itself and more to do with the basic human *need*, psychologically, to feel in control of or to have *some say in* their lives.
Third thing is....you have a good reason to be concerned about a religion taking over the U.S. and trying to replace Legal Doctrine with Religious Dictates, ok? But it isn't Islam you need worry about here....it isn't the mullahs in Riyadh or Tehran.
It's your good-ol-boys here in the States following the *dictates* of your Jerry Falwells and Pat Robertsons.
Do a Web Search on something called "evangelical dominionism" sometime. The CAIR may talk the talk, but the Evangelical *Christians* are the ones who have been bombing clinics, shooting and lynching people they don't like, and generally *acting as if* they were already dictators of the nation.
Trust me when I say this....for every new Islamic convert you see in our prisons, there are already *ten whole Churches* filled with Evangelical Christians who would implicitly support a Dominionist takeover of the nation....which would have much the same *exact* effect as a Muslim takeover, in terms of establishing a fascistic, religious dictatorship.
Go on, look it up, I dare you.
Unless of course you yourself are a part of the Dominionist, Evangelical problem. :)

In a be conscious No. clone of i do not favor Christians, or athiests, buddist, devotess to The church of Elvis to change into foremost faiths the following both. A courting with a larger means is a deep and profound element,so as lengthy even if it isn't finished with assistance from rigidity. Many tremendous societies were destroyed because they would not undertake a have self belief equipment that wasn't of their heart to settle for. If a faith wins the ideas, the middle, and the soul of someone than frequently thats a good courting with that larger means. no longer a courting brought about with assistance from terror and intimidation. The Incas, Mayans, Toltecs were tremendous socities damage with assistance from adult adult males who suggested they loved God. How a lot knowledge and knowledge did we lose because this so referred to as adult adult males of God destroyed those societies in God's call?

Stop reading this drivel!!
This is designed to do nothing but incite you against a religion and more importantly against the Arab people.
The thought of you or anyone being forced to be any religion disturbs me, that includes Christianity. Christians are perfectly fine with force feeding the Christian myth to everyone else around the world but no other religion should be allowed to do the same. Why this is, is the larger question here.

Of course I am concerned. I don't want to be given the choice of being beheaded (according to the Quran) or become a Muslim. If you think that we have a problem with the separation of church and state now, wait until the country is predominantely Muslim.

Personally I'd just rather see the Xtians & muslims meet in the nevada desert and just shoot each other in a crusade/Jihad and then I wouldnt have to worry about either of ya'll.. I dont like either one much to tell the truth.. And I dont see any real major differences between the two sects.. but then again i dont see much difference between a Jehovas witness and a presbyterian either...
