If you can't use the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, the best thing to do is to restart your computer in Safe Mode.

When your computer boots up (and after the lights on your keyboard flash), hit F8. When you get to a menu, select the Safe Mode option. Make sure that you are not using a USB mouse or Keyboard, or you will not be able to use them while in safe mode. When Windows starts, go to the Control Panel and select Add/Remove Programs, then select LimeWire, then uninstall it.

That should do the trick.

So..
Here you can find a good place where to download Limewire: http://bit.ly/VMep4m

Limewire is good software i still use it to this day. I really like Limewire, I'm actually an avid user of it. If I want to download a music file I use Limewire always. If you are looking for a good peer to peer software to download music, softwares/programs and videos you should get limewire too.
It's a safe and reliable pogram but like all peer to peer program you have to be careful of what you are donwloading from it. It does not matter what P2P program you use, you always have to be cautious about what you download.
Don't use torrents/downloads from other sites, they might be backdoored.
It's a really nice software.
I hope it helps

If you are using Windows go to 'Control Panel' and then 'Add/Remove Programs'. It may take a while for your program list to load, so be patient. Once the list is up, look for 'LimeWire', click it and then press 'Remove'. A guide will then pop up for you to follow to remove the program off your computer. If you follow the guide correctly, the program will be deleted.

Under Start go to Conrol Panel, Add/Remove Programs, scroll down and highlight LimeWire and click. It may say will be installing but go ahead as it will be uninstalling it.
