My bf of 2 and a half years and I just broke up a month ago. We have talked a little since then. Our mutual friends have told me that they think he still has feelings for me, and I love him still. Today I sent him a text message that said "I miss you." That was the first time I have said anything that bold. He sent me a message back that said "I'm sorry". What could that mean?

Probably that he is sorry that you miss him because the feeling is not mutual

Ouch, that hurts.

Unfortunately it seems like the feeling isn't mutual. If it was, you would have broken the ice with that text for him to say "I miss you too". I wouldn't try contacting him again. He knows how you feel and if it's reciprocated he knows where you are. Anything more could just make you look desperate and clingy.

It hurts, oh lord to I know. But it sounds like maybe it's time to start working on moving on. It's not easy, and wont be done in a day, but start taking baby steps hon.

If he cared for you then he would have never left you in the first place.Since you want to text him, ask him to come home today or you are going to move on with you life.If you really want to know something then ask him not everybody else.

i have never been one to sugar coat things so don't take this into offense. it means it's over. u need to move on from the girlfriend stage and be his friend. no one likes feeling guitly fo ending a relationship so don't put dat guilt on him. it'll only push him away. wen he sees u comin to him as his friend, he won't feel so bad and u will be able to chill. maybe his feelings will TRULY come bak and u guys can maybe start over.
