its all for show and to attract a larger audience, even though he does mean what he says and 100% of the time he is right, the man knows what he is talking about

To put it simply, without Simon Cowell there would never have even been a second season of American Idol. He is the true catalyist of the show.

Well there has to be atleast one honest guy on the show! If he wasnt there Randy and Paula would let any ol' person to come on even though they know they dont stand a chance. Simon's honest and he tells you straight off if your gud or not so you wont get hurt later.
I actually think he's a nice guy on the inside but that might just be me...

i LOVE his attitude i think he should be meaner. he is totaly doing the right thing. i mean the other judges are too soft. you shouldn't do that if a person is really bad don't tell them to try again, because they will come back next year and you will break their dream again and tell them they suck. this way simon says "you are the worst singer in america" that is a message that says DON"T TRY AGAIN. he is saving you the embarrisment. i would do just that. if you are a crappy singer and you know it then just don't go and embarris yourself on TV. if you want to embarris yourself go and let simon tell you how it is. he is doing a great job.

i think Simon makes the show because of his smart comments he tells the truth like it is even if it may hurt but someone has to do it and if he wasn't on there then it would be just like all the other talent shows and it wouldn't be on for how long its been on.
