There is no spin in saying Edwards would raise taxes on everyone. Its always the same with democrats. Its no big deal though, there has never been a president elected after vowing to raise taxes. Edwards just knocked himself out. Good job buddy. If we want to pay for something we need to cut the ridiculous spending we already have. Its much more logical to streamline the money we already have coming in than asking people to pay more.

I have hated paying high taxes and then hearing about things like the Pentagon toilet seat fiasco, but if I were guaranteed decent health care and security in my old age, I would be happy to pay a higher tax. Remember the old poster that said, "It would be a great day for education if the government had to have a bake sale to build a bigger bomb." Same goes for health care and elder security...Peace & Love.

Taxing the rich to pay for health care probably isn't the answer, but we have to do something. My best friend is a teacher and single mom of 3 girls and can't afford to pay health care. I'm a retired teacher paying 700 a month for health care. The middle class is getting squeezed and we need some relief!!!!!

He is thinking to fix Medicare and social Security it would be common sense to raise taxes, remember we have the baby boomers now starting to retire and we have the war in Iraq and americans not insured or underinsured,we have buisnesses leaving the country,we have illegal immagrants in our country and the buissness did nothing to stop them, and now he proposes a work program and with people making less money and buissness not offering insurance and buissness making more money than ever before. Taxes would have to be raised to pay for the mistakes made by the President and the Republican Party.

Ok I suppose you want to cut taxes. Being we are already in debt beyond anything we have ever been, and not to mention you people really do not understand what an imbalanced budget does to our economy. You will find out very soon with your "Do anything for a vote no matter what the long term problems arise" republican spending party. Reap it

Edwards cheated Americans out of $700,000 by treating his law office as a corporation so that he would could pay a lot less taxes.

Just wait. More to come I am sure. I just hope we don't have so many going too far to the left that they actually tip the boat.

I'm not sure I fully know his reasoning, so I'm not ready to "chop him up" yet.
