A fraction is easier 0.4=4/10=2/5

SInce it's less than one, it is not going to be a mixed number but a fraction. It's 4/10 or simplified, it's 2/5

( notice the pattern )
A mixed number would have to have a whole number.. but that ( .4) is a decimal, and can only be translated into a fraction. not a mixed fraction.
