Without gold border can also be very attractive ones.In India general mass started liking more without gold border.

A cotton sari can be really cheap. There is a range for every section of the society. The everyday wear - if you are taking of a cotton sari, they will ask you which type, pure cotton, 50% mixing of synthetic yarn etc! That will confuse you. Cotton saris can be washed, but you need to check if the colours run. Your store keeper will be the best advisor. You do get saris with gold border than can be washed (light) wash at home with liquid detergent.

Frankly saries that can be washed and the colour doest run out or it doesnt crinkle are not 100% pure cotton.
