Do you go to a grocery store and tell them your kids are starving and expect them to give you food?
Do you go to a clothes store and tell them you have an important meeting Monday but don't have money for good clothes?
NO!!!
Vets DO care about all these animals. They are heartbroken when they can't help.
But GUESS WHAT?
All that care, medicine and supplies cost money. If you can't pay who will?
What are your thoughts? Please, I'd like to hear the reasoning!

Hi I'm a full time vet tech that totally agrees w/ you. I couldn't have said it better myself. If people can't afford to properly take care of their pets, they shouldn't own any!! If you're an adult you have to take care of your own responsibilities. That goes hand in hand in being an adult!

I don't get it either. Pets are not a RIGHT they are a LUXURY. You don't get a Corvette if you cannot make the payments, you do not go on vacation if you cannot afford it....so why do people get living, breathing creatures if they cannot afford them????
Even the DUMBEST people know that a cat or dog WILL require vet care at some point, but rarely do people PLAN for that.
Then, when they have to seek vet help and the vet won't give them a free ride, the vet is a bad person. They do not care. They just want money. I don't know anyone who works for free, especially after YEARS of schooling.
Stop blaming the vets!!!! If you have a pet that YOU cannot afford, blame yourself. Doctors do not see you for free, and your electric is not free, smoking is not free. And the people here that say they cannot pay for a vet seem to have a computer and internet access. Why don't they hock some stuff to pay for the pet????
They are just too lazy and selfish. Feel that they are entitled to free everything.
There might be some people who are truly in need of help for a limited time, but they are few and far between!!!!!!!!
I work in a shelter and we get calls DAILY from people that want free vet care. It still amazes me that people on a FIXED or LIMITED income get a pet. You know you have $50 left each month and still choose to get a pet. And when it gets sick, someone else is expected to pay for it.
Makes me sick.

I don't get it either. Some people just don't realize the high cost to the vet to care for the animals and think what they pay mostly goes to the vet which is way off base. Medical supplies are not cheap! This is why people need to consider this BEFORE getting pets and then deciding to breed.

I am not one that expects ANYTHING in this world for free including vet care!!!!!! I just previously stated that my vet has provided free services to me and maybe it can be due to me taking many dogs to her office and spending thousands and thousands of $$$$$$$ to her over the years. I'm sure she did the free services to show her appreciation for all the business I take to her. She knows I always pay my bills at the end of each visit no matter the cost. Truthfully, I really don't think people expect vet services for FREE!!!! Some may simply feel they are being FAR over charged for the services they have received. YES, there are vets in this world that gouges humans for the $$$$$$ simply because they know out of the love for their animal ,....... THEY CAN!!!!!!!!!!

Well said! And I couldn't agree with you more.

All the time the excuse I hear from people's mouths: It costs money. No duh! Keeping an animal can be downright costly, and you won't get any hand-outs.

If you can't afford a vet. bill, you can't afford your animal. End of story.

often shelters will provide the animals their first around of photographs and get them dewormed and spayed or neutered before they provide them to their new vendors yet specifically circumstances in the event that they're chanced on residences or they're to youthful to get the photographs or in spite of they might have you ever're taking them to their vet they use or have you ever deliver them lower back to get in spite of they choose. you will possibly desire to call the safeguard and see in the event that they are going to pay or what they choose you to do.
