Gay???? Why on earth would you say gay in place of stupid? Are you gay or just retarded? There are more people who cannot spell than there should be, so let's not add to the confusion and start changing the meaning of all the words.

Neither.

Stupid is just plain stupid.

Ignorant means the person lacks knowledge of a particular subject. Education is the answer.

Retarded is a physical/mental disorder. I would never use that word to describe something from an otherwise healthy person.

Gay is homosexual/lesbian, and has nothing to do with a lack of knowledge or understanding.

Don't get me wrong; I'm not "PC;" I just prefer the right adjective to the situation.

Comedian Carlos Mencia had a hilarious episode where he awarded "D-d-dee Awards" for really stupid actions and people. He brought out Josh Blue, who was a winner of "Last Comic Standing."

Josh has cerebral palsy, but is also a very funny comedian.

Josh presented one of the awards, saying,"I may have CP, but at least I'm not 'D-d-dee.'"

I'll admit that I use retarded. And stupid, but not gay

Retarded would be the correct answer. Also, loser, idiot, nimcumpoop, sped, window-licker, and yes, gay.
Gay is more along the lines of happy, or of the other sexual preference. So retarded would work better in place of stupid.
