What is WRONG with these people?

Are they simply too young to remember what a bad economy is?

If they think this is bad I can hear them crying and whining now once the next mild recession comes along! BTW, have you noticed that even though the recessions get milder and milder (as evaluated statistically by professional economists (read: in reality)), the media and the far left-wingers characterize each one as "the worst recession since blah, blah, blah"? Those dolts really need to get out more!

Personally, I think they know that the economy is doing very well, thank you very much, and they're just doing their usual "Give us your money, we'll take care of you, and THEN everything will be just fine (because that's what we'll be telling you to think)." This is Hillary Clinton's principal message once you listen very, very carefully to all she offers up.

You nailed it on the head. Cradle to the grave liberal politics at it's best, or worst. NPR is crap.

Haha, is this a question or your analysis? I know though that our economy is definitely not thriving though. With nearly a trillion dollars in federal debt and almost all american car companies going under and the environment falling apart I know that things are not going well these days.

I'm young but I know my history of America and the world well. Confidence in the system of economy and capitalism in America is at an all time though. Though there isn't a sense of pure chaos as there was in the 60's and 70's with the gas shortage and vietnam and civil rights, our society now is simply too large to have a mass reaction to the economy and world events.

Whether our economic problems are the fault of the president and his administration or a simple and inevitble chain of world events doesn't matter. People need to get through the troubled times and push forward.

Although the economy is doing well, only the upper 10% are benefitting. This expanding economy has not yet reached the middle class, which is troublesome. My guess is that the growing cost of fuel and health care is holding the middle class back.
The FOMC mentioned this during their last meeting. Inflation is cutting into the middle class much more than the rich. If they got these two areas, fuel & health care, uunder control, we'd see a very robust economy.

The US economy is doing well??? The rich get richer, the poor get poorer. Check the numbers on home foreclosures, bankruptcies, and small business closures, all are at historic highs. I won't get into the highest national debt in history so please re-check your facts before making such a blanket statement.
