I assume you mean

2 2 2 2 2

The center number is 2

The median is 2

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

1 3 5 7 9 12

The number in the center is 7

The median is 7

The median would be the average of the two middle numbers.

For instance:

The median is the average of 3 and 4 or 3.5

you take the middle two numbers and take the average!!!!!!!
