Lately many people seem to be getting lost in solving mathematical problems that are so easy. Why? Anyway if you have only 1 wrong then you have 16 (= 17 - 1) corrects. That means that 100 x (16/17)% is correct. This works out to be approximately 94%.

Percentages are really just fractions that express parts out of one hundred (from the Latin per cent = per hundred). If one is wrong, that means 16 are correct. There are two methods to do this:

1) simply divide 16/17 and get the corresponding decimal answer. Then move the decimal two places to the right and you have a percentage.

2) set up equal fractions
16/17 = x/100, where x is your percentage
then cross-multiply to solve for x
1600=17x
x=1600/17

You take it from here!

it would be 94% heres how to figure it out, lets do ur problem. u got 16 out of 17 so u would do 16 and then add two zeros. so it would be 1600 then you divide it by 17. that will be your answer. if u get a decimal ignore it just take the numbers before the decimal. heres another one to help you say you have 23 correct out of 30 then you would do 2300 divided by 30 and you should get 76% the best way to check yourself is on a calculator.
