I ran the Vista upgrade advisor from cnet.com and it recommended that I upgrade my video card (graphics card). I fell just bellow the recommended video card. I have a Dell laptop and this is my computer info:

Inspiron 6000
Intel(R) Pentuim(R) M processor 2.00GHz
1GB RAM

This is what the Upgrade Advisor told me:

CNET recommends: 256 MB 100% DirectX 9 graphic card with Pixel Shader 3.0 hardware support (NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800+ / ATI Mobility Radeon X1800+)
You Have: ATI MOBILITY RADEON X300 (ATI MOBILITY RADEON X300 (0x5460))

Details:

Video RAM: Required - 256 MB or better , You have - 128.0 MB
Video Card 3D Acceleration: Required - Yes , You have - Yes
Video HW Transform & Lighting: Required - Yes , You have - Yes
Vertex Shader Ver.: Required - 3.0 , You have - 2.0
Pixel Shader Ver.: Required - 3.0 , You have - 2.0

Does anyone know of a website where I can purchase a new video card? Or a direct link to a video card for the info I gave? No Ebay please...

Thank you!

That's a notebook. You cannot upgrade the video card. If you have winxp, there is really NO need to upgrade to vista.

ATI X1800 is an expensive video card. Try stores like newegg.com and buy.com.

Good luck.

Don't forget to try your local computer store.

I found a shop close to my house that sells stuff at comparable prices to CompUsa, as well as those online vendors linked above!

I always suggest try shopping local first, if possible.
