like a .org or something, but i dont want anything to get in the way, like freewebs or anything. but is there a place i can do it for free without any software?

I use Brinkster.com. They have paid options too, but I've been using their free service for years and I've always been happy.
Once nice thing about Brinkster is that they have a code bank: if you are looking for a particular thing to add to your web page, but don't know how to do it, you'll probably be able to find it in their code bank.
