Being all powerful, he knows the outcome. But then again, my husband enjoys watching "classic" games on TV, even though he know the outcome. Might be the same thing for God?

Maybe he just enjoys it when two teams are good sports and try their best?

Maybe he hates the violence and commercialism of football?

Does he cheer for a favorite team? Does he affect the outcome?

Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith are both good guys and Christians. Does this affect anything?

Humor is enjoyed, but serious answers are encouraged.
More consideration for best answer if you can give theologic support to your answer (be it humerous or serious.)

God loves all people and does not choose sides, unless it involves a battle against satan and demons. He created the earth and humans for His pleasure and enjoyment. But He is not going to interfere with the outcome of a football game, and besides - He is God - He already knows the outcome!

Since God is omnipotent I'm sure he or she(or them?) is able to be everywhere at once. For example, God can be with people suffering from serious things -- disease, poverty, illness, etc, but then also be at the 50 yrd line enjoying the game. Football players are Gods creation too, why not?

If God knows the outcome, then that means free will and things just happening b/c they happen is not true..

But..if God has a sense of humor and Irony then Chicago will win...just to spite Peyton :D

Well...

I think the fictional character "God" would like superbowl becuase of the tight backsides and all the men fighting of just one ball.

God prefers 2 balls. He's ya know....on the "other" team. ;)

GO COLTS!

There is no such thing as God, tell your husband the same. lol

I don't know about god, but I think Jesus does. He's always got his hands up like he's signaling a touch down. I think god likes women's beach volleyball ;) Mmmmm, sandy bikinis.

3 Thumbs down? What's wrong with my answer? Was it the bikini thing? Do you think god would have a problem with that?
