It's not one bit accurate. In colorado we still get snow in april. Once we had a huge blizzard the day that spirng was supposed to start according to the whole ground hog day theory.

About as accurate as the calendar....... from Groundhog Day to the First day of spring is about 6-7 weeks. Spring will come when it comes, the weather could be nicer from one year to the next but that is the cycle of life.

A lot of people don't realize that it doesn't matter if the groundhog sees his shadow or not. Go look on your calender. There are always six more weeks of winter after groundhog day, and spring is always coming soon (Which is actually a matter of opinion.).

I think Groundhog Day is not accurate at all becasue if it is warm and sunny out (you know how Spring weather is), and the groundhog sees its shadow from the sun, it shouldn't be 6 more weeks of winter since we would have nice Spring weather! I don't think it makes sense at all but that is my opinion. I hope this helps! :-)

Groundhog day is 100% accurate!
If he sees his shadow, then 6 more weeks of winter.
If he doesn't see his shadow, 6 more weeks until spring.
All in all, exactly the same.
Just a fun day.

Not accurate at all.
Think about it, if a rodent sees its shadow, how does that effect the weather in any way? Not at all...its a stupid tradition.
