A male friend told me the best $2 he ever spent was on a bus ticket because that was how he met his wife. He saw her waiting at a bus-stop and waited with her. Corny? Absolutely! Stalker? Maybe. :-)

A book at a second hand book store, or a skein of yarn for a few hours of entertainment, or a cheap paint by number, good again for about 3 hours of entertainment.

If you have 'Dollar Stores' where you live - go in there. They have lots of really good stuff for $1.00. - you can buy two things!!
