I'm in the process of trying to get rid of it...My skin is sensitive and so I want to make sure waxing won't irritate my skin. But what can I say to people who make comments about it, especially people who make rude comments about it?

Ask them where they get the nerve to want to embarrass you and why. They wont be expecting that. Dont worry about making them uncomfortable because they werent worried about embarrassing you.

Ask them politely why they ask, it turns the focus back on them and points out, in a subtle way, that it is a very uncomfortable question to have to answer. The people who ask these questions are pig ignorant and musn't have been taught any better by their parents. How rude!...You don't owe anyone an explanation at all...if it does bother you...try some of these facial buffer things, they do not irritate sensitive skin and unless the hair is coarse, it will get rid of it...I was skeptical, but it totally works!

Oh, and Mrs Z, way to be sensitive to the plight this person has, if you want to caustic and critical, there are plenty of places on the net to do that.

This girl had a genuine question and concern! She was hardly whining!

People DO have a problem if they were not taught by their parents that it is impolite to point out things that might be perceived as physical imperfections in others.

That being said, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Well, when people made fun of me (I had HORRIBLE acne), I just laughed it off. That's just the kind of person I am. Sometimes I would fire back at them wen't something like this:

"HA HA! PIMPLE-FACE!"
"My pimples'll go away, you're going to be a retard forever."

Or:
"CRATER FACE!"
*mockingly wipe away nonexistent tears* "Aww, that one stung."

But I understood well the implications of puberty. I always knew it would be only a matter of time before my acne would go away...that makes our situations a...little different, but not much. there are lots of ways to get rid of facial hair, not just wax or nair (For God's sake don't put Nair on your face) Laser hair removal in extreme cases. I mean, you will actually have to DO something to lose the facial hair, I just had to wait; but the approach to jerks like that are the same. they may find you unattractive on the outside, but that can be fixed. They will ALWAYS be ugly on the inside, and for that reason, they can do nothing but make everyone around them as miserable as they are. And when you graduate with honors and they come to you asking for a job, take pride in remembering how "Unqualified" they were in High School, and how nothing will have changed since then and stamp "DENIED" on that job application.

I know what you're thinking. "My god, that's nuts, that'll never happen; it's so far off." Yeah, well, I graduated from high school last month, and suddenly I'm 29 now (Metaphorically...I just mean time flew) with a career and making good money, and where are those Jerks who called me crater face? Well, one works at Burger king, at least two are cashiers at Wal-Mart, and one works at an aluminum milling plant making car parts. The point is, they bust their humps all day for a pittance of a paycheck, while I sit on my rump at a computer pecking away, and make quintuple their paycheck or more. Sorry, I know I shouldn't laugh at people's misfortune, but I believe in Karma, and they got what was coming to them. HA! I mean...oh, sorry.

thats so rude....ppl can be so ignorant and mean...just ignore them babe and the mosre embarrassed you feel the more they will pick on you....if you dont let it become a big deal they will have less to play on.

next time that happens just tell them they're pathetic and walk away....dont respond to them after that.....they wuld be left more embarrased than you!

try threading it....its an asian way of removing hair without wax and razor....i thread my brows. The hair doesnt come back for at least 2 weeks......

at the end of the day whatever way you choose to remove hair put teatree cream after the process....its good for open pores.

I hope you are using Apogee Elite laser treatments! Virtually painless hair removal and effective for all skin colors. In the mean time, you might remind them that in general it's better to not let any words come from your mouth unless they are used to build others UP! that advice is from Ephesians 4:29 in The Bible.

you could get laser treatment done which might make your skin go red and it will sting for half a second but it should work. it does wonders for me. even though it's expensive. it's worth it. it will permanently get rid of hair.

if you can't get it lasered then hide it with a hair lightening cream. it lightens the hairs , hiding them from the eyes of idiots who want to mock at peoples facial hair!

They comment on it because it looks hideous and there are dozens of ways to get rid of it. You can shave it off, use scissors and trim it shorter, bleach it so it's less noticable, etc.Waxing hurts like hell and is famous for skin irritation.

Try Nair for faces and use it every weekend until you have saved enough money to have that stuff lasered off for good. It's sold EVERYWHERE.

Why act like everyone else has a problem when you already know you are hairy? Just do something and quit whining.

When people make nasty comments about you they're usually trying to see how far they can push you. Buy saying "okay" and agreeing (or atleast saying you do) you'll show them that it doesn't bother you and they will get board and find someone else to pick on.
