Anyone ever use the First Response Test four days before their expected period? I am wondering how acurate it has been when testing early.

I tested 7 full days before my period was due and it was positive! I was pregnant. I used the brand "Answer". Then i bought another test that same day "Clearblue easy" and even though it said positive the line was faint whereas the Answer test was very bold.

Surprisingly, cheap tests purchased at dollar stores or on the Internet are often more sensitive and reliable than expensive store brands. HPT's are like soda: very cheap to make, and marked up quite a bit for retail.

If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

With my last pregnancy, I took a First Response four days before my period was due and got a true positive. It doesn't work that early for everyone, though. In my opinion, you're better off waiting the few days and then taking the test once your period is actually due and doesn't show up.

Also... I swear by the First Response tests. They are the only tests I use, and I always have one or two on hand.

If it says your pregnant than your definitely pregnant. There are no false positives only false negatives.
If it said your not pregnant, then you need to wait 2-3 weeks after your missed period and take another test.
I have two kids. With both I took a First Response home pregnancy test but it took 3 weeks after my missed period for a positive to show up.
I just knew I was pregnant so I would take a test every week. The third week is when it finally showed up.

its conceivable, some people dont discover out they're pregnant till a minimum of 6 weeks long gone that's regularly whilst youre approximately 2 weeks previous due. retest in some days if its nonetheless unfavourable then bypass on your wellbeing practitioner and get a blood attempt completed.
