I want something upbeat and jazzy. I'm a girl, but a guy's song in a higher register would work. I was thinking Motown, or something along the lines of Lean On Me. But it's hard to work that alone.
Any suggestions?

Angels by Jessica simpson is a great song for singing.. its not poppy like her other stuff, its really good if you have great vocals and can really belt out a note.

You've got a friend by James Taylor (there is also a version by Carole King) That's probably a better known song that people will enjoy

want to bring the house down at your talent show?Learn the words to an old song HURT,work that voice of yours and sing that song like you feel it.Will make the girls cry and the guys will know what hurt feels like. Thats when Music was Music. Not everyone will like it but who really care as long as you sing from your heart.Words to a song are very powerful and will bring the right kind of attention remember there are talent scouts in the audience. just do your thing ,enjoy and WIN!! Good Luck

Moondance is easy and has a good swing vibe to it.
