No. The academics might be great but colleges care equally about extra curriculars. High school students must be well rounded to succeed. Only half of high school is what goes on in the class room.

I am not very sure of that to tell you the truth, and I'll tell you why. For one, if you are talking about football, cheerleading, baseball, etc., then I believe when a child is young it is important to keep them occupied with something good to do after school such as those following activities. I also think it is a good thing that you have to make certain grades to participate in these leisure activities, because school definitely should come before play. I am glad that they have activities that keep you fit also.

If your extracurriculars are outside of school, why not? Some kids are into non-school supported things like community soccer programs, private music lessons, scouting and martial arts at a non-school location. I think a lot of kids could benefit from having school being a place where you are academic, and the non-academic activities aren't related to school. That said, I don't think it's a good idea because I believe a lot of students wouldn't have any extracurriculars if they weren't available through their schools.

i'm in extreme college, and that i think of greater-cirricular activites could nicely be significant. Forensics and debate team, as an occasion, look stable on a resume. So do Eagle Scout and Gold Award. they could additionally supply you stable skills for the destiny and could help you meet new human beings. on the different hand, greater cirricualr events could nicely be stressful. After college events and conferences can extremely tie up a schedule. i'm in the Marching Band, and that's sufficient for me, pondering we meet after college until eventually finally 5 each Thursday. I particularly have sufficient time to end homework with out the prepare. I merely cant commit with all of the hardships of school.

If there was a high school without extracurricular activites, I would assume that the school would have a difficult time receiving accreditation. Accreditation people look at the WHOLE school--not just academics.

With that known, I would not attend that high school. It's not healthy to be that one-sided, even in academics.
