Apparently customers didn't like the high price and high calorie count.

This is what it had on it: The Arch Deluxe was a quarter pound of beef, on a toasted split-top bun topped with a circular piece of peppered bacon, leaf lettuce and tomato, and a "secret" mustard sauce.

I loved the Arch Deluxe but I think different markets prepared it differently. I had it several times in Las Vegas and I thought I was in heaven but back in Colorado, they tasted and looked totally different. I think the main thing that the ones in Las Vegas had that others did not were the sweet onions which really gave it a burst of flavor. I wish they'd bring it back and make it right!

I think the reason it failed was because people were not expecting such a high class sandwich from Mc Donalds.

- Soft Buttery homestyle bakery bun
- "Secret Sauce for grown-ups made of mustards and mayonnaise
- Sweet spanish onions
- 2 fresh, crisp iceberg lettuce leaves
- Juicy tomato slice
- Hickory smoked bacon
- Classic American cheese
- Quarter pound beef patty
- Sweet ketchup
