How do you put songs in iPod nanos? I already have them in the library.?

I got an ipod nano for my b-day and i don't know how to put songs in it I just have the songs in my library but my ipod just does not get the songs in it!

plug in ipod. drag songs from library onto ipod.

make a playlist and put ur songs in there then u should be able to put them on ur ipod
