most places if you ask will let you lie down in preference to having you faint and fall down. Doesn't really "hurt," more of a pinch...its the concept that bothers people.

I've just had two blood tests in the same week! (the doctors lost the info somehow) It's a bit like a small pinch and hurts a lot for about a second. It can, however, get sore after you take it. You can take it lying down, but it'll hurt the same amount, (maybe more) so what's the point?

Blood tests feel like a mosquito bite. So if you think mosquito bites hurt, then maybe it might hurt you a little bit, but you'll live.
Yes, you can have it lying down. It is a very quick process. The ones that I've had take about 30 seconds to have done.

I had onelike 4 days ago and only hurts as much as you want it to hurt so just relax and it'll be over fast
You can lie or sit down while having a blood test

Don't believe those who say it doesn't hurt - they're lying. Maybe I'm just sensitive to pain, but I when I had a blood test last week it was torture. In fact, I yanked my arm away the pain was so intense. I left without the procedure being completed.
The phlebotomist advised me to lie on the couch when I told her injections made me uneasy.
Never again.

You have 2 types of blood tests! the first id with neadle from a vane (which is crepy). And the second is from the finger. they cut it with a blade and suck the blood! Im Needle fobic. So i wanted the second choise when they had to test my blood. It hurts for a moment.
I've tried the needle thing too! Which was really cscary for me. but it doesnt hurt! So i would suggest the needle even if it sounds creepy

Blood tests don't really hurt, unless of course the person withdrawing the blood doesn't know what they are doing...THAN IT WILL HURT..What you should feel is a little pinch when the needle is going in...That is it.....no big deal..........
Usually blood tests are done while you are sitting down.......

Not trying to scare you or anything but it has been my experience that it truly depends on the individual nurse. I had some miss my vein and had a nasty bruise. A good nurse will have it in get the blood and be done with out any bruising or pain.
