Oh do keep up. That's ancient news. Have you heard the tape - it's blatant. Robbie's agent at the time bought the Irish guy off for about £10k.

"Angels" is a song by written by Ray Heffernan, Guy Chambers and Robbie Williams, originally performed by Williams
In October 2006 the RTE documentary This Note's For You, presented by Tom Dunne, revealed that the song was originally co-written by Williams and Irish singer Ray Heffernan. After the song was polished by Guy Chambers, Heffernan was offered and accepted £7,500 for his rights. It is estimated that the song has since earned more than £7 million. (website info)

However I may be worng with this but I'm sure I watched somewhere that Ray Heffernan was a friend of Robbie's and when Robbie was going through a bad patch he stayed with him and wrote the chorus/part of the song in his attic.
Ray Heffernan seemingly wanted his name show a creditted to writing this. (can't remember which programme it was though!)

Well lets face it Robbie wouldn't be where he is today without a little help... I'm sure all "artists " get help along the way, even the greats like Robbie..
But i do feel that he should have given the guy more money when it became no 1...

Give toshlyons the points just for being witty!

I don't ever recall Robbie Williams claiming he wrote the song himself - if he did then it's pretty low, but hardly unusual.

He's an idiot. I heard most of his songs were stolen. Cant believe his ego. He needs a slap. I'm no fan of Oasisi at all but they make better music than that wannabe patheitc excuse for making money. To think he badmouths them. He should know his place so should Oasis.
