I'm on my second pregnancy at 38 weeks. I went 12 days over for my first. Just wondering if 2nd pregnancies normally go in on time or over as well? BTW, I'm being induced on Valentine's Day so I don't go over. I'm 60% effaced and 1 cm dilated. I go back to the doctor Monday morning so I will know if I've progressed anymore.

I was 3 days early with the first, and exact on my due date with the second. I was 2 centemetres dialated for about a month with the second too.. Good Luck.. and what a beautiful day for a baby to come into the world! Congratulations :)

With my first I was induced at 38 weeks because of high blood pressure...With my second I went over and was induced at 41 weeks.Every pregnancy is different so its really hard to tell..Chances are though if u went over with your first and werent induced but are being induced this time because u may go over your due date then u will probably go over if u arent induced,just like most women who have had premature babies go on to have another premature delivery etc..Nothing is wrong with going over,as long as its not 2 full weeks over its ok..good luck!

It just really depends on the person everyone is different. My first pregnancy I was on time to the day. My second and third child were early. My sister always went over.

I was 7 days over my expected date on my second pregnancy...They say there are more cases of late deliveries in subsequent than in first pregnancies because of more lax abdominal wall in the latter. The tighter abdominal wall in first pregnancies tend to cause earlier labor....Good luck! May God bless you with an easy, comfortable and safe delivery...

By the hospital's estimation I was late. By my calculations she arrived exactly on time, both my pregnancies were the same length to within a day or so. My doctor wanted to induce. I told him to forget it.

I haven't had any children, but my mom has five. I am the oldest and I was a week early. My next brother was three days early. My next sister was exactly on time. My next brother was three days late. And my baby sister was exactly on time.

My First was: 39wks
Second: 10 days OVERDUE
Third: 38wks
Fourth: arrived on her due date.
All different so you can't really say which one's going to come WHEN!!

i dont think it matters which pregnancy it is the baby will come when it does im affraid ! good luck though i hope your induction goes well and you have a good future with your two children x x
