I'm doing a project on the classifaction of an animal and I don't know what to pick. Not a tiger or Dolphin though. Thank you sooo very much!

I thought of a zebra since you have stripes in your user name :) I think its cool that their stripes act as a camoflauge for them in a herd.

My favorite animal since 1983 is a sperm whale because it is the largest toothed carnivore in the world. Blue whales are bigger but have baleen plates for feeding on plankton. Sperm whales eat squid and stuff. But lately I've been thinking of making my second favorite the killer whale into the number one slot and dropping the sperm whale down to the number two spot because a giant squid will sometimes rip off a sperm whales jaw and that isn't really all that cool. Third is the elephant. Because it is so large and powerful.

Do it on some kind of tardigrade - little waterbears! They're related to insects. Fascinating little creatures.
You'll learn more if you do it through one of them than doing a vertebrate. Make sure you include all the steps - protostomia and deuterostomia doesnt usually fit in to a rank but its important - and class it all the way up to domain.

I think turtles are fascinating because there are so many different kinds and they have developed all kinds of cool adaptation depending on the envirionment they live in. They are also one of the most represented kinds of animals in ancient art and mythology.
Especially interesting to me are the side-necked turtles whose necks are very long and they bend them around to put their hed inside their shell instead of pulling the head straight back like the turtles we have in the US.

I love most all animals. But I love any thing feline, like a leopard or a jaguar. I'm also partial to dogs, or wolves. Deer and horses are my favorite herbivores.
