Well, you definitely have to file your income tax with the state as well as the Federal Government. But whether you'll have to pay is another thing. You'll be able to use the 1040ez form which is just over one page of work and you'll be able to see if you have to pay anything or not. Takes less than a hour to do. Most likely you will not owe a dime. You may even receive money back!
Congrats on the continuing education!

Do your mothers and fathers declare you on their taxes? Then no. i might wager that they do, considering the fact which you're no longer paying your way by way of college on $3,000 a year. They deserve the tax credits for buying your college. If for some reason you're no longer claimed, then the respond might count on no rely if or no longer you remodeled $3,000. no rely if it somewhat is under you will no longer get something. no rely if it somewhat is over $3,000 you would be eligible to get carry of from $3 hundred as much as what you paid in federal earnings taxes.

Don't know what state you're in... but you need not file with the fed if under the poverty level for your family size. States with income tax are not nearly so understanding... but if you don't file fed, wait till your state ASKS for a filing, then demand (in writing)their jurisdiction to tax you or require filing based on your low income. Note how many answers say "You have to file" without really knowing the law? That is exactly what the State/Fed wants... Follow me, I saw it on the news.... Best wait and demand in writing what the laws in fact covers. Keep their (the bureaucrats) feet to the fire

Yes. You have to report ALL income. You may or may not have to pay taxes, but I'm pretty sure you have to file.
