I am an Australian citizen, so no problems with Cuban visas. Will be in Argentina, Buenos Aires, and want to get Havana. I can fly to Cancun and another flight to Havana, but would prefer to take a boat or ship across the carribean, just seems much cooler that way :). Anyone know if thats possible? Maybe from somewhere else around there, like the Dominican Republic, or even Miami (as im not a US citizen)? I cant find any details on the internet.
Thanks!

There are no regular boat services - so you'd have to charter a boat specially, and would have to arrange that the Cuban authorities are expecting you before you leave. How do you plan on leaving Cuba again ? Cuba insists that all tourists can prove that they will be leaving again (if you arrive by air, you need your return ticket, for instance).

while I have heard of private yachts that for a fee will take you to Cuba from the Yucatan area, I know of no particular cruise line or boat company that makes frequent trips to Cuba from Mexico.
