Just trust that you can use the point of interception for many useful things like predicting if two vehicles will crash, knowing when to stop trading shares on the stock market, finding the right time to stop boiling chemicals in a lab... it has many useful purposes in the real world.

it`s also useful in technical drawing, mechanical system (to touch or not to touch).
It`s nearly impossible not to use them in determining the proper motion of most machines.
