Kept telling myself that everyday I work here is one day closer to one where I won't have to. It took seven years. It completely sucked. If I had it to do over again I would've walked. At the time I just didn't know enough about demographics.
The reality of the world today is I'm solidly in the middle of GenX. That means as a successful educated man in my prime, I just don't have a lot of competition (even less as high end baby boomers start retiring). Thanks to the pill and Roe v. Wade the law of supply and demand is working in my favor. GenX is too small to support the geriatric needs of the baby boomers, let alone the entire economy. My competition today is not even likely to speak english as a first language. That means my generation is too small to spend any more of our lives punching a clock.
Don't settle. Walk if you have to. The labor market is MUCH tigher than you think.

I worked for this boss lady from hell alongside time in the past, she raised intense greenback quarter horses. The groundskeeper replaced into on holiday so she requested me to mow around the barns. there replaced right into a strip of grass approximately 3 feet huge working north and south for about ninety feet. She needed me to take a push mower and circulate decrease backward and forward mowing it east and west! I luckily had yet another job coated up closer to homestead so I took a protracted lunch destroy. while she suggested as whining the next day, I informed her to take her north/south job and shove it in her east/west hollow. Boy, that felt good! I additionally worked in a production unit for some years, and one Friday on the evening shift somebody pulled as much as the protection gate and somewhat of paging the safeguard, they mentioned "All you tense working human beings, this one's for you!" and then "Take This job and Shove It" got here across the audio equipment. It sounded super, each physique have been given a grin and replaced into making a song alongside on the right of their lungs, and the guy on the protection gate have been given reprimanded-they have been on the day shift. It replaced into an unforgettable evening.

Yes. During our county elections when people would come to our door and campaign, me and my brother said "Take your card and shove it!". LOL! It was hilarious. Anyway, back to the question. Yes I have wanted to say that before. I didn't say anything though.

i feel like that alot at my job. i feel like they take advantage of me, and make me work extra shifts because they know i'm the only one that will not say no. when you get frustrated....just take a deep breath and think about the most important thing in your life [family,boyfriend/girlfriend, children, pets, etc...] and smile. eventhough it sucks...and trust me i know it does at times, also know that your job helps you to pay for gifts for the people you love, or gas to go see them. eventhough you want to "take that job and shove it..." you just might be more miserable without it.
i hope this helps you, it has helped me many many times! :)

Sure I have. Then I imagined myself living in a cardboard box and holding a "will work for food" sign and sucked it up.
