I edit allot of home movies and I have an external hard drive which I use only for saving my video files. For some reason I can't see any of the files on the drive now. There are definitely files on the drive and the files are taking up space on the hard drive but I cant see the files meaning that I can't open them. Please help!

try going to control panel> administrative tools >computer management > go to storage then disk management. You should see your drive on display. Click on action and rescan and then go to explorer and see if your files are displayed.

maybe a virus??? neva know... go to tools-->folder options, and goto view tab and put it to "show hidden files and folders" and also uncheck the checkbox "hide protected operating system files" and click yes when prompted and hit ok to everything. If this doesnt solve the problem, then undo everything and say that you neva saw this, instead that i sed "I dunno"
