Over the years, you spend as much on a dog as you would on a set of diamonds, & if you think about it, you can talk to a dog when you get lonely - a diamond necklace won't give you much company!!!

It is not fair to compare inanimate things to living things!
it is not fair to compare the cold, shinning diamond with the warm glance of a faithful dog!
It is not fair to compare prices, when not talking about same things!

It is fair to want a diamond AND a dog.
it is fair not having the money for a diamond and dreaming of it (the first law of mankind: people are NOT equal, and you should know!)
it is fair to want a dog, as your best friend when you're a child, and a diamond when grown-up (everybody needs a little balance in life!)

It should matter if the diamond is natural or industrial (not to mention: if it's a fake!).
It should count if your beloved dog bites somebody!
It should matter if diamonds are the only things that counts!

Diamonds make girls feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It makes a girl feel good. Most of the guys I know aren't very high maitance and all they need to feel better is their dog who will always be loyal to them.

That's NOT true. Maybe the girls you have witnessed are gold-diggers. I've ALWAYS loved animals, and dogs are my favorite. I've had dogs all my life, and they've always been my best friend. I never cared for the jewels. They only looked nice. They didn't keep me company or act sweet.

You're right. Dogs are WAY better than diamonds. I ignore this proverb, and have dogs anyway.

I'm female and my dog is DEFINITELY my best friend, daimonds don't compare.........saying that hubby if you are reading I wouldn't mind the most expensive diamond collar you can find for my pooch!!!
