You are far too generous when depicting the American population as merely “naïve” with respect to Bush’s deception in foreign policy matters. Far from being just “naïve”, the American people are downright apathetic to matters of truth and falsity with respect to assertions made by Bush or his political cronies. To think that 10 years ago, more Americans knew, and sought out vociferously, every intimate minute detail concerning the Clinton/Lewinsky sex scandal – a matter of little importance, but they are wholly ignorant of the material facts concerning Iraq.
The fact that all of America isn’t calling Bush and his colleagues the mendacious men that they are, isn’t a testament to innocent naiveté, or their difficulty parsing highly cryptic and ambiguous rhetoric and information from overseas. This would be excusable, and it could be rectified. Unfortunately this is not the case. The lack of awareness of the American people with regards to Bush’s deception, and their willingness to let him have free reign to do whatever he wants, is direct evidence not of their innocent ignorance, but of their callous and irresponsible indifference.
Patriotism should constitute more than just waving a flag. It should be about marshalling up the effort to find out the correct information, and force our leaders to take action.

Bush etal. are masters of misinformation. Not obvious like Clinton saying, "I feel your pain" We all know he was wondering where Monica was when he made those compassionate pleadings.
Bush is more of a role player than Clinton. My favorite is the blue shirt and bucolic accent.
What most Americans consistently fail to understand that these men are not Democrats or Republicans. Those terms are for the voters. The presidential level players are simply public relations employees of the World biggest Businesses.
Go back to the early days of the Republican party when they were called Federalists. They made the conscious decision to pretend to be Americans and not Aristocrats.
We are nothing more than surfs in a fugal system. Bush etal are the Overlords we pay tribute on April 15th. and the Lords let us pretend to be part of the equation on the first Tuesday in November.

Bush has gotten away with nothing. He's been villified by ignorant Americans that buy all the "blatant untruths" and "misinformation" presented to them by the media and the hateful Democrat party. We've had fake CBS memos, claims of "lying" when even a child can see that no one lied, faux scandals about non undercover agents being outed, claims of drug abuse, alcohol abuse, etc.. The list of unprovable, idiotic accusations go on and on. The fact that the American people can be so easily swayed by the lying left is truly sad.

Bush is nothing but a figurehead. All of our presdients in this century have been totally controlled by the International bankers. Hillary Clinton claiming she wouldn't have go to war is a joke. She voted for it. Of course she can say she will end the war if elected, but it won't be her decision. Of course Hillary has no class. Hillary was a lawyer for the Black Panthers.
The problem with George Bush is he was a heavy drinker in colllege. His brain doesn't function so well.

He's gotten away with it because the American people want to believe that they have a moral country lead by a moral government.
The American people are basically good and moral people. The U.S. government is neither.

There is a saying, attributed to President Lincoln that says, "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time."
These are words that Bush can live by for the remainder of his term as president. It's only fitting that they should come from the first president to wear the Republican Party's name.

No, and you're not being kind. You are cutting down the American people. Don't hide behind glass words. Come out and say you think American's are stupid. This is your only way to do it out of the direct presence of me, and the rest of us God, and country loving USA citizen's. If you have any proof about blatant untruths, please share them, or else you're just another deceived liberal to me.

You are kind, but I would answer no. He has got away with it because the corporate media and the bi-partisan imperialist consensus in Washington wanted him to get away with it.
What the American public felt was irrelevant. Even now, Democrats are trying to "manage" the anti-war vote that put them in power, instead of managing to get us out of Iraq.
