A package was delivered on Friday from Fed Ex and I wasn't here. It is too big to fit in my box (I live in an apt) so if they came by no one was here to answer. Someone signed for it that I don't know. Would they have taken it to the office here? or the nearest post office? or...? How do I find out? Thanks

This smells like trouble. Fedex shouldn't let anyone sign for it but you. If you don't get it they'll refund you for the value of whatever was in that box!

Fed Ex can't put anything in your mail box. You will have to go to the nearest Fed Ex station. Look in the phone book. If someone signed for it then they have the package. Usually when you are not home Fed Ex will leave a notice on your door letting you know where and when you can pick it up.

As long as you have the parcel ID number (it can be obtained from the shipper) You can track the parcel thought the Fed Ex system. It should be available at a pick up location or be set for redelivery.

If the parcel was signed for it may have been by a person at the holding center.

You can always track a parcel on line using the Fed Ex website. It is their obligation to verify that they have the correct receiver. All of their parcels are signature required so they will not leave it in a mailbox.

If you have the parcel ID, either from the slip or shipper log onto www.fedex.com and track the parcel. You can also call their customer service line and arrange for a delivery or pick up at your convenience.

Call Fed Ex. They shouldn't have let someone sign for it whom you didn't know. Presumably that person is at the office.

If someone signed for it, FED Ex will have a copy of the signature.
