I have had many different breeds of dog as a pet (currently a golden retriever), and consider myself a dog lover. My favourite breed would have to be the Doberman, they have the most beautiful, gentle, loving, affectionate and loyal nature . They are easy to care for having short hair, have boundless energy and enthusiasm , love the family they live with and are great with kids. Nothing better than a 50kg dog who wants to sit on your lap, all limbs and wet kisses! They really do become one of the family!

The Newfoundland is handsome, regal, proud, gentle, kind, intelligent, playful, strong, adores kids and the best dog in the world. I can't recommend them to the average punter though because they are also, slobbery, hairy, muddy, knotty, smelly, too strong for walks, swim and like getting wet too much. They also love kids so much that they knock them over and trap them between their legs - hence possessing them!! They are the best and the worst (having had spaniels, labradors, poodles, alsations, great danes, mastiffs and jack russels) but I wouldn't entertain any other breed. They're the best!!

Rottie. I have a well bred pedigree one. Shes well behaved, Loyal and intelligent.
Shes good around my kids and basically a kid herself as shes nearly 1 year old.
The breed is thought to have been introduced to Europe by the Romans who used them for their natural herding instincts and protection because of their loyalty.
When middle aged farmers sold their live stock at a market the money they earned was often tied around their Rotties neck incase they were robbed.
Beautiful Dogs!

All dogs are great but to get a dog with all the good traits from many breeds you must always get a mongrel.
They are less highly strung & have nothing to prove. They are free to just be a dog.

Collies... I've only ever had one dog... he died when I was 17 (I'm now 34). He is irreplaceable... don't know if I'll ever have another of any kind. They are loyal, gentle, and intelligent.
Peace, love, and Northern Lights...

I love so many different types of dogs - boxers, german shepherds, labradors, golden retrievers, cocker spaniels. I love most dogs and I prefer the medium sized dogs, as there is more to cuddle!

I like mutts. Pure-bred dogs often have genetic problems that comes with inbreeding.
