Try Jerry B. Jenkins, Though None Go With Me. This story is a love story about a woman who determines to make her life an experiment in obedience to God. Some good meat reads are, Paul E. Billheimer Destined For The Throne. Virginia Meyers Vessels Of Honor. The Rib by Amy Sit. The Song Of The Bride by Jeanne Guyon. That's just a few, if you look you can even find some really good Christian fantasy too. A good thing to do is pray before you buy and read the preface. GOD BLESS AND HERE'S TO FINDING SOME GOOD MEAT READS!!!

Wow, you asked the question people most love to answer!! At least me. Here I go...

1) Hinds Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnard
An allegory about Much Afraid and her journey to the High Places with the Good Shepherd, and her companions, Sorrow and Suffering. May not be the best book I have ever read, but this book did deep, deep healing in me that was incredible and powerful MUST READ CHRISTIAN CLASSIC. Easy to read.

2) As my son, spatacus says above, we LOVE Ted Dekker, every book is different, it is fun, and he writes with intelligience. He is NOT a mediocre Christian fiction writer just writing drivel, but he certainly entertains.

3) Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller Love this guy, makes me laugh, makes me cry and convicts me in a way I thought no 20-30 something upstart could. Makes you really rethink the traditional Church for sure, but fall in Love with Jesus! I have read all his other books as well, but start here!

4) The Face of God By Bill Myers A great novel exploring the huge similarities and the core of ISLAM and CHRISTIANITY in a fiction book. I really love Bill Myers. He is really prolific, writes for kids as well as adults.

5) Soul Survivor by Philip Yancey. Great book about the spirtitual influences on his life, and what they have taught him about Christianity, some very suprising from a Christian author, ie Ghandi.

6) Keep on with Lewis.... He will entertain and enlighten you for years. As you can see, I tend to lean toward fiction with deep content, so I love Screwtape Letters, and The Great Divorce, but Everything he writes seems to be annointed in a wild way.

7) "Across the Spectrum" is a great resource book that gives the pro and con of all sorts of Christian Doctrine, from Creationism literal 1 day or allegory to Calvinism vs Arminianism, and they are all written in a way that they ALL start to make sense in a very unbiased, objective way! Easy to understand apologetics.

I will stop now before i start describing every book I've ever read and get kicked off answers!

God be with you fellow reader!!!

Just a couple more...
When Bad Christians Happen to Good People by David Christenson??? not sure about author
Knowing God by JI Packer OF COURSE...

How approximately something slightly extra academic and particularly much less symbolic imagery and mysticism. That comes 2nd. you may desire to get extra out of them once you get the forged stuff completed first. some issues to truly blow your innovations: a million. thoughts of God: An Unauthorized Biography via John Shea 2. Jesus: A Gospel Portrait via Donald Senior 3. The Virginal concept and actual Resurrection of Jesus AND A Crucified Christ in Holy Week via Raymond Brown 4. Then, in case you're waiting: tiers of religion via Fowler those are severe academic scholars, no longer exciting musings of the customarily nicely-intentioned. you may desire to get so a lot extra out of Lewis after this, he became into o.k.-cautioned and knowledgeable. stable success!
