right click anywhere on the yahoo home page ...in the next box select createshortcut...in the next box(a shortcut will be placed on your desktop) click o.k..thats it

Hold the right click button on a yahoo icon in your start bar and drag it out to the desktop. Problem solved...10 points pls!

Go to Yahoo. Go up to "File" and "save as". My documents will usually come up but click on the dropdown arrow and choose desktop.

(Forget what I suggested. Crafty has the best answer. I am leaving my answer, might be helpful with something else).

Click and hold the icon and drag onto the desktop and then put it where ever you want :)
