I'm listening to take a bow and it really makes me think that she was the marked the rnb genre. I think she's shaped it into what it is today. Beyonce, Mariah, Brandy, Mary J., Missy, Eve, etc etc have beeen influenced by her creation of the genre. What do you think

Here is the proof she created or brought back rnb music in the 90's. Most RnB artist today own her a great deal for bringing back this genre in '94

Are you for real? next you're going to say she invented the wheel, she is a just a singer that copied what was already there,R n B is an African American music genre that has descended from many genres like Doo Wop,Jazz,Blues and Motown,The only thing Madonna can claim is that every time the media forgets about her,she comes out with something shocking that will put her back on the news, but even that is getting old.

HELL NO! If anything, RnB which means Rhythm and Blues originated from Jazz or the olden days. & like the person above me said, R&B was out WWAAAYYY before Madonna. Think back to Gerald Levert, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, and plenty, plenty others.

My all means 100% No...madonna is not an R&B singer. I would more or less call her POP. She is all pop... there is not soul to her music in terms of Music soul, personal soul or reflection maybe but not Rythm and Blues....Really listen to Mary J's My life album thats where u hear some contemporary R&B.....just my thoughts!

i think motown shaped what r-n-b is today. madonna is brilliant but she's mostly good at taking already existing trends in the gay culture and bringing them to the masses (can we say vogue!)

Are you serious. R&B was out long before Madonna. She sure as hell didn't shape it
