Sure I would. Why wouldn't anyone be willing to cut waste (in terms of excess energy usage) to ultimately improve our standard of living. Besides less pollution from autos and electricity production, we'd save money on a household level and help to make our society less dependent on fossil fuels (which makes us less economically dependant on some other countries). Maybe then the idea of some sort of public transport could be developed to service other places than large cities.

I don't have a car and use very little electricity. My computer wont run on bottled gas so I would like enough power to be on the Internet.

Must we cut ourselves? Why it is not the other way round?
Shut down the damn TV station, we watch live and musical show play.
Shut down the power station, we use candle and fire stock to heat up.
Shut down the damn car manufacturer, we ride horses again and the shut down list carries on.
Oh yes, should we shut down Internet? kekee :P~~~

I don't have a car, so yes.
I could do without electricity as well, as long as there would be cooking gas.

I'd be willing to surreptitiously burn oil and other carbon-rich compounds in retaliation to such an idea. I'm not joking.
