Most women have their babies within two weeks of their due date (either early or late, either way -- so that's a span of four weeks). It sounds like you are getting close to the finish line. I know it can be SO frustrating when you just want that baby to come, but soon enough it will all be over. You can try the old wives' tales and other suggestions (walking, having sex if your doctor still says it's okay, eating spicy foods, or whatever else you come across as long as it's safe for you and baby), but I really think babies have their own time table. My daughter was born early, but my water broke at midnight ON MY BIRTHDAY. I was born at 8:18 pm, and she managed to take her time being born so that she could be born 11 minutes before my exact birthday! My son was also conceived on my husband's birthday. I swear, these babies have their own ideas and sometimes you just gotta let nature take its course. Good luck with your pregnancy and impending birth, it will happen SOON!!!! :D

Sorry, chica. Many women stay several centimeters dialated for a few days or even a few weeks (I had a friend on bed rest for like 6 weeks because she dialated 4 cms at 32 weeks and she didn't go into labor until week 41). Being dialated is a good sign (and means you lave less to do once you go into labor), but it doesn't predict that you'll be in labor anytime soon. On the other hand, you might go into labor in a few minutes. Best of luck, Catherine

I went shopping for baby stuff and all that walking made my water start leaking and it finally burst when I got home and put my feet up. My first one I had s_x with my husband and the "man juice" is said to make a you go into labor. Plus a was a willing partner with my first also.lol
The DR. Should set you up to induce labor if you haven't gone soon!
Congratulations and good luck!

No, no, you'll never go into labor. ;)
Just teasing. Of course you will go!!
Your body is just getting ready.
Next time, when you have contractions, TAKE A HOT SHOWER.
My doctor swore by it. The hot water on your chest provides nipple stimulation, and kick starts labor.
Also, aim the hot water on your lower back to help with contractions.

you will, soon enough. Have a long hot bath, eat your favourite meal and get your partner to pamper you all evening. Repeat as necessary, it won't speed things up but it's probably the last chance you'll have to relax for a while so you won't care.

I hate to say this but.... you still have a week to go! Have a bath, a curry and then a tablespoon of cod liver oil, if all that doesn't work then I think you may remain pregnant forever!

You will go into labor soon.
If you want to naturally progress things I would suggest getting active, breast pumping, sex, and eating spicy foods.
