it is not the colour red, it is the movement of the cape that attracts the bull. That is why they have rodeo clowns to distract the bull away from the cowboy if he falls off, their movement takes the focus off the cowboy for just enough time to get to safety.

Bulls are actually colorblind... it is the motion of the cloth they are attracted to, so really it doesn't matter what color it is. Red is just the traditional color.

Contrary to popular belief.....They DO NOT SEE THE COLOR RED!!!
We see the red cape in the bullring, but not the bulls!! The red is used for our excitement, not the bull's.

i heard somewhere that bulls are actually colorblind and its the fact that there's some guy in a suit is waving a cloth in front of the bull that makes them charge.
u would probably get annoyed too!

They don't. Bulls are colorblind. Bulls that particpiate in bullfights are bred for being excessively agressive. The flapping of the cape enrages them and that's why they charge.

i dont think they like it. they probably just have a reaction towards the color red, just like some people have a reaction towards, for example, when a person calls their name. I dont know, I just think its like that.
