It is so simple just write the files you want in a CD and then paste them to your laptop.

CDs can be used, but flash drives are probably better. Download the files you want to transfer onto the flashdrive [sometimes known as thumb drives], properly remove it, put it into the laptop, and upload them. You can do the same with CDs by burning the pictures/documents onto them in a CD burner [which most PCs have].

There are a few ways to go about this. Sometimes hooking up a USB cord between them will do it. Other ways include burning the files to a CD to transfer (then youd have an extra backup), or getting a flash/jump drive. I prefer the flashdrive method, personally. If your unfamilar with these things, they act as minature harddrives. Usefull little things, and arent all that expensive nowadays.

easiest way is to burn them to a cd, then insert the cd into your laptop, and the files should pop up automatically.

dont use floppy disks because they hold so little information.

if you dont have a cd burner, you can use a usb holder, plug it into your usb port, upload them, and transfer. its really hard to explain in words, but im sure someone you know knows how to do it. its really quite easy.

It's really much faster to simply burn them onto a CD and transfer them that way. Not only that, but once you burn the CD's you have a permanent record of them also. Simply depending on a hard drive to "save" all your personal stuff is risky.

Hope this helps.

Put the files onto a secondary storage medium, for example
CD
DVD
Floppy
External hard drive
Online email
Online webspace
etc.
And then retrieve it from your laptop.
Or use Windows File Transfer. I dunno how do use that.
